Jesus is reminded of a catastrophic tower collapse, and instead of blaming the victims, he challenges people to use the opportunity and see if they would be ready should a disaster strike them.  He warns them that God only waits so long for His children must pay a price for lack of fruit.  Isaiah invites people to enjoy the blessings of God, “while He may be found.”  We are asked the same question, “Are you ready” for whatever will come?

We should constantly renew our fellowship with God, and seek God’s grace

Confession

God, You offer blessings beyond anything we can imagine, but we miss out because we are not seeking  You first.  You offer a life of fellowship and joy, but we settle for rote obedience.  You challenge us to live in Your presence every day, but we look instead to our own devices.  Forgive us, and teach us more fully to live in Your grace.
