The word Trinity is not mentioned in the bible, but the concept that God the creator, Jesus The Christ and the Holy Spirit share an identity is found throughout the new testament.  We have one God who is experienced in different ways:  as a loving parent and judge, as a brother and teacher, and as an indwelling empowering presence.

Confession

Most gracious God.  You offer us many ways to know You, but we still sometimes think of You as a distant deity who could understand nothing about we mortals.  We reject that we are made in Your image, and insist that You an infinite God couldn’t identify with our problems.  Despite the bible telling us otherwise, we sometimes seek ways to insist that You couldn’t want a relationship with mere human beings.  You constantly reach out, and we constantly reject.  Forgive us, and help us be open to all the ways of Your love for us.
