Looking To God’s Future
In the gospel, Jesus is again visiting in the home of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus. Mary takes it upon herself to anoint Jesus’ feet. Judas takes exception, and says the ointment should have been used to help the poor. Jesus responds that the poor will always be around, but Mary has prepared him for his death and burial. Paul talks about his past, but says that is unimportant in relation to his future, which is to follow as closely as possible what God wants him to do.
We may or may not see it clearly, but God has plans for each of us moving forward.
