When religious leaders challenge Jesus authority, He asks them to consider how God gives authority.  Then he talks about the difference between lip service to God and actually serving God even if we have doubts.  Philippians encourages Christians to recognize that God created us to serve, and to do so joyfully as Jesus did.

God desires our willing obedience.
