When Jesus tells 10 lepers to show themselves to the priests and they will be healed, only one comes back to say thank you proclaiming How God has healed him.   That one is a Samaritan.  Jesus commends his faith.  In the psalm, we are called to rejoice in the Lord, and to remember what God has done for us so that we can offer praise.

Confession

Most Gracious God, we know that all we have and all we are comes from You.  Yet too often we let our pride tell us we have done everything ourselves.  We don’t recognize how You have been with us daily.  We don’t acknowledge Your gifts.  We focus on ourselves and don’t praise you for being You, and showering us with love.
